MINOR SCALE

The Minor Scale represents how the Additory and Subtractive Bases are used. These two poles are termed the Primary and Secondary Assessments, which means that when the Additory Base is Primary, the Subtractive Base is Secondary and vice versa.

PRIMARY ASSESSMENT
The Primary Assessment is either the Additory or Subtractive Bases. The assessment of value may be derived by addition, wherein the value of any given entity is considered, as so many degrees greater than the Base. The value of the car is assessed by using the activity of walking as a Base. Or the assessment of value may be derived by subtraction, as the value of an animal may be assessed using the human as Base, or so many degrees less.

SECONDARY ASSESSMENT
The Secondary Assessment is Subtractive when the Additory is Primary and Additory when the Subtractive is Primary. The purpose of the Primary and Secondary Assessment concepts, is to identify the propensity to use one or the other 'primarily', as a basis for all evaluation which affects all aspects of the scale.

DEFINITVE/RELATIVE STANDING
The Primary Assessment is Definitive and the Secondary Assessment is Relative. The Primary Assessment as Definitive, means that qualities and conditions are based on standards which are consistent, fairly stable, reliable, authentic, actual, well known and familiar, and usually are derived from real individual experience. They can also represent ultimates, as perfect truth and being, justice and the absence of all earthly imperfections, or the absence of the qualities and conditions of nature. The life of a notable personality can be considered as a Definitive Standing, as can a winter in Minnesota or the proper dress for the opera.
