Another way of making this kind of determination is number recognition. Numbers may be used so that one can tell if the source and inspiration of events and circumstances are random, inspired by heaven alone, earth alone or some combination of the two. For this - two numbers are necessary, as a number to represent heaven and one for earth. The number representing heaven may indicate an extra-mundane occurrence that is initiated by heaven alone. The earth number may indicate when the earth or specifically the individual is in some manner an instigator or related. These numbers would then become Fixed Context. Fixed Context or in this instance the use of the same numbers consistently is necessary because otherwise if the numbers are arbitrary then the system becomes totally subjective.

The numbers used are single digits, a single digit for heaven and one digit for earth. Thus there are a total of 10 numbers as 1 through 9 and the 0. Single digits can apply to any circumstance where numbers are involved and 2 digits to a majority of others. Where three and more numbers are involved these may be reduced to two digits by addition. Thus the number 1598 is 1 + 5 = 6 + 9 = 15 + 8 = 23 which gives two numbers. If 2 is an assigned earth digit and 3 a heaven number, it may indicate a spiritual signature assuming one accepts the system a non-material intervention. Thus for instance an event might be recognized by the time of its occurrence. If it were to happen at 09:53. This may be interpreted as 9 + 5 + 3 = 15 giving two numbers. If the 1 and 5 are one's numbers, then this event may be of some particular significance involving the individual. If only the heaven number is involved, one could say one is in no way connected to the event, but that it may be heaven inspired. If only the earth number is apparent then it may have something to do with one, but absent the aspect of heaven. However if both are one's numbers, it may indicate that the individual and heaven are in conjunction. In terms of the degree of coincidence, the individual's two numbers are of a total of ten.

A further symbolic reduction can be used. Two numbers can be reduced to one. Thus in the first example the 2 and the 3 can be added to 5. This single number can be of significance in terms of context. The degree to which numbers are attributed with significance can be ascertained by the purview of numerology. Systems of numerology can be of any degree of complexity.
