I met a guy not sure when, but some time in this period, down at Safeway I think. Said he was on the run. Said La Raza I am pretty sure was out to kill him. Said it was mistaken identity, whatever the problem was I don't recall. I said he could hide out at my place. Seemed like a perfectly nice and educated guy who was scared to death. He spent the rest of the day. Of course it scared me as well. If he could get killed, I could as well for harboring him. Never have looked at people guilty till proved innocent, but rather the other way 'round. Maybe he told me the story, I don't know, but the politics could get rather nasty and not a pretty thing.

It was a day at Winfield. Ford's room had windows on the street, and he parked his green VW bug in the driveway. Someone was messing with his car. He opened the window and asked : "What are you doing ?" Ford said, "Hey I am on your side. We are in the revolution together". Now Ford is upper class and this guy could not have been any lower class if he slept under a bridge, which he probable did. So the guy in reply un-zipped, pulled out his wanker and pissed on Ford's car. Ford couldn't get over that one.

Another time someone stole Ford's car right out of the driveway. Ford said he was going to call the cops. "You mean pigs", I said. In those days the cops were always called pigs. How can you call the cops pigs, and then call the cops when you need them.
