Identities can be Conservative or Progressive as parallel the dynamics of the Whole or the Part. When Conservative, Identities can be thought of as corresponding to the dynamics of the Whole and in
harmony with the Ego and body, as products produced primarily as maintenance and preserving existing conditions internal to the social, cultural and community milieu in a same or similar manner. In political terms this can be called Socialism. Such Identities are such as janitor, trades-persons, city and government workers or
restauranteers.
When Progressive - Identities can be called Individualist as conforming to the dynamics of the Part, which is called
Progressive when it produces products external to and considered superior to the Whole, as for itself and its affiliations. Principles of Individualism would represent the Part as independent of the Whole, and especially where the Part represent an elite function to which the Whole should serve the Part, as opposed to the Part serving the Whole.
Identities may be based on personifications as completely unnecessary and unrelated to the Ego, like radio announcer, long distance runner, locksmith or nightclub singer. Identities as creations of the mind may not necessarily be representative of reality in any way whatsoever, and may be based on information and knowledge obtained vicarious to the actual experience of the body and Ego, through word of mouth, books, education, media, or any manner not of actual self-experience.
Whereas one Ego is likened to one Whole, the various Identities are likened to the numerous Parts of a Whole, in which the individual can have any number, usually around a half dozen such as automobile driver, workaday profession or student, father or mother, athlete or hobbyist. These Parts can work in conjunction with the Ego and body or independently of their own volition
like sky diving.
