The government creates uniform standards of conformance such as money, laws, weights and measures, language, building codes or business standards and practices, which promote the smooth interaction of the relations between the various members of the community.

Because the government needs operating assets such as fire engines, office space, police cars, water department equipment, and all sorts maintenance facilities, these are paid for the community as a whole. If the government operated for profit, then individuals belonging to the government would be able to use the resources of the entire community for the benefit of the few, which would be unfair to the public at large. Government by its socialist character is non-profit. When individuals utilize a government for their own interests or the interests of some specific model for society, which is imposed from above, it is defined as Authoritarianism. If the community outside the government does not willingly support it, then it can only be supported by force.

From the premise, that government is socialist in character, government assumes various forms which can be described in terms of a scale of either more or less government.

COMMUNISM AUTHORITARIANISM SOCIALISM DEMOCRACY ANARCHY

At the extreme ends as more or all government is Communism, and at the other end as less or no government is Anarchy. Between Socialism and Communism is Authoritarianism, which is central authority that ordinarily finances itself by the taxation, and between Socialism and Anarchy is Democracy which takes the form of some balance between what is considered to be to much and to little government.

COMMUNISM

Both the political philosophies of Communism and Anarchy purport that humankind is inherently good as born.
