These constituencies as may be opposed to the
government fall into basically two categories, as
those which are at the top of the class structure and
those toward the bottom. Those at the top, may
attempt to control the government for their own
advantage, so as to maintain or increase their
superior advantage. Those toward the bottom in
general may tend to support systems of hierarchy,
even though they may be angry and resentful that
they themselves are not on the top. Because they
themselves are elitist minorities, believing that they
and the philosophy they espouse is superior, when
needing someone to blame, for their inferior social
status cannot blame the system itself, nor the
benefactors of that system, but have a propensity to
scapegoat others for their lesser status, usually those
below them, in which the inferior as opposed to
superior is the root of all evil. Some of the forms that
these groups take are nationalism and patriot,
paramilitary, religious, cult, or what may be called
hate groups.
The nature of Capitalism and free enterprise, where
the motive and incentive is profit, is hierarchal,
elitist at the top, and thus by its constitution is Right
Wing. The individual owners and managers of
economic enterprise may prefer less government, as
less taxes and regulations concerning working
conditions for employees, wages and benefits, safety
regulations and controls on unsafe materials, or
anything that may interfere with the creation of
profit. The owners and stock holders of capitalist
enterprises accumulate wealth, power and elitist
status as opposed to the worker employees.
