He refused to press charges. In the end it was the way they kept the relationship going. They fought, she giving him reason to live, gave him the rational of revenge, something to live for - "I'll get her !" He got angry. He lives.
On radio it was easier to do both sexes. Could be either the man or the woman. Why not, couldn't see them. One could make the bodies what one wanted of them. Both are people. On TV they had bodies. TV-she is not my body. I have to take his side. A lot of Cans in radio and few Can'ts. Cans were the operative principle. In TV it was Cannots. I cannot be her. I cannot do that. If they do - it is because of special rigging. Why be any of 'em. Why not be the ambiance of the whole package, the sets, the script, the actors, the time and place conveyed. In the museums, there were a lot of encounters with museum guards who invariably looked at your shoes. I didn't talk to them. I didn't have a clue to who they were. Why didn't they look me in the eye ? Maybe they might see themselves as something they were not. If I didn't know them, they didn't know me.
