Cars were having to swerve around me. So I thought I better run back behind the car a hundred yards or so and flag them over to the left. But then they were looking at me and not seeing the car. I gave that up and went back to the car. Someone could get killed here." It was the answer to my question. I learned if nothing else, you have to be careful what you ask for.
Another means was to create carry-around-context in reality as personifications, as the study of people in the human condition. Instead of interpreting simply as myself as I had always done, I created character personifications. However now thinking on it, I think rather than create the personifications first, I may have created the objectives first. So many personifications, who would be worth the study ? The assumption would be that there would be many types of characters, all trying to achieve the same objectives. Rather than follow all these many characters I would build my own characters from the objectives, which could be reduced in number, to things like money, fame, glory, love, family or professional interest.
I always liked the title-terminology: "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy", which wasn't yet written but is a good example of a great spy story by John le Carré. In the context of objectives the essence of a Spy is to steal information. The essence of the Tailor is to clothe the personification. The essence of power is to make change. The essence of money is the power of change. I reduced it down to fundamental elements.
I was doing the same thing with my pottery. I was building sculptures from shapes thrown on the wheel and piecing them together.
