One of the basic tenants of the theory of Any Age Authority is based upon the proposal that this ability of free conception, in the physical plane of the natural world, takes two fundamental and opposite forms which are termed in a generic sense Mysticism and Religion.

The Mystical interpretation of the condition of the Absent Determinant is positive, which means that the inability to give the natural reality conceptualized characterizations, specific definition and context which would characterize elements of the natural world in terms of singular, definitive, finite or absolute qualities and conditions, is considered to be the very essence and nature of true Spirituality.

Mysticism is said here to embrace this condition of free conception as the nature of Spirituality, in which it is considered that no authority except the self should make decisions concerning real consequence, such as life and death for any creature including human. This means free will and Spirituality are defined as the act and ability of making decisions, which are not reliant upon the outside authority of Finite Context, as the belief in the certain knowledge of the definition and context of reality. Such belief as Finite Context is like the concept of hell determines one's conduct in present life, which simply instructs one what to do; and wherein the individual possesses no real responsibility accept the abeyance of precepts or not. Another words, the truly spiritual state would be incorporate of, and the truly spiritual individual would make the same decisions and have the same responsibilities that God or higher spiritual powers and places would have.

Opposed to the Spirituality of Mysticism is what is termed Religious Materialism, which encompasses the many forms that Religion takes when the condition of the Absent Determinant is interpreted in a negative sense.
