The Antithetical Opposition of Progressive Materialism, as the conception of negative aspects and attributes, allows for the facility of the inequality of inferiority and superiority, to be applied to any given entity or organism, and thus allows exploitation for one's own benefit. The term progress by its very definition means, that a new and changed state or condition is superior to the state it replaces.
Thus old states are destroyed, transformed or replaced, and pre-existent states by their very existence, can be considered as antithetical and antagonistic to the conceptions and realities of new states said to be improved and superior. When goals and objectives are to be accomplished, or when force is necessary to accomplish ends, Antagonistic Opposition may be used to justify it. One could say that the concept of Antagonistic Opposition includes the concept of enemies, or that to have more than others, one may need to take it from others, and it is perhaps best that they be one's enemies.
The fact is, that the world and universe are comprised, in terms of the senses, of opposite qualities and conditions. These are such things as hot and cold, long and short, up and down, pleasure and pain, wet and dry or black and white. However the concept of opposition is relative to interpretation.
Antithetical Oppostion
This interpretation is defined by the concepts of Antithetical and
Complimentary Opposition. Antithetical Opposition is a term created to describe the interpretation of opposites, as antithetical to one another and to human well-being.
