It may have been that I impulsively kissed her - a forbidden beholden rule, which to my surprise was a know-no, because the next morning she sat up in her sleeping bag and said I want to go home, and any particular reason was not stated. But otherwise we got along fine and I drove her to the ferry that day.

Met a bunch of Jewish American women and one girl from Amsterdam again in Copenhagen. Nobody was doing what I was doing so I was travelling alone. Also a change of plans since I was now going to Oslo instead of Stockholm. Copenhagen had the greatest variety of pipes I had seen anywhere, so I had to buy a cheap one.

I would later visit one of the above mentioned girls in Stockholm after my trip to Oslo and then out to Bergen. I have a couple of pictures of the the sculpture of 'The Little Mermaid' on a rock. That seemed to have been a big deal with the locals and the tourists as well. And Hans Christian Andersen seemed to be the most noted of all Danish notables. There she was sitting on a rock in the bay all by herself. It was a work of art, but I was not an artist yet, and so did not look at it with any particular artistic awe. Of course in Europe art was everywhere. One was surrounded with it. I do not remember much of Copenhagen. Again I ran into Nicole at my campsite and again she was with the same two guys and heading north. I told her I was going to Oslo not Stockholm, and my travelling companion had decided to go home early.
