Religious evaluation by the individual is subtracted from ideal such as God or god-like, as so much less than, (Pseudo-conservative) 'saving grace' usually must come through the church as representatives of ideal as God. These church authorities get their authority the same way as monarchs so claim, that they are most progressed and conform to higher perfection. God may act through them and them alone. This of course is a hierarchal system, with the elite on top and the common on the bottom now called MonoCulture applicable to both Mono and Money theism. This kind of church tends to become well established, supported in the main by the economically advantaged who are closer to and who tend evaluate themselves by subtraction from economic ideals. And of course the church tends to return the favor.

When evaluation is from the bottom as antitheticals, or the propensity of the common man (Liberal), the tendency of Religion is more democratic, meaning that 'saving grace' is based not so much on the authority of an organized church hierarchy of the elite, but rather on the individual's actions and deportment, and the ability to self-conform to the religious ideals. The church is less important as an instrument of salvation. These religions tend to be more fundamental, pure and cult-like, more strict and more self-responsible. They are also less compassionate, less forgiving and less corrupt. In Christianity the former would be Catholicism and the latter Protestantism and I believe of Islam, the former Shia and the latter Sunni.

Religion is Moral as opposed to Ethical. Morality is the conduct and deportment of Materialism. Religious Consequence is non-material, and the material world thus has no inherent Consequence in and of itself, and thus may be used in any way deemed necessary or profitable.
