Emotion is said to be the response to sensation from the immediate environment or thinking, which is affected by association that has consequence for the individual. If the house fire was one's own home, the sensory reaction to the event, would more than likely by quite different from the stranger's, very dramatic, animated, with anger and fear, perhaps self-pity. This would be called an emotional reaction.

      EMOTION

Emotion is said to be the sensory response and reaction to present sensation which is interior or exterior to the body in which some Consequence pertaining to the individual is associated. A sudden pain in the chest may be considered simply a mild aggravation, in which not much notice is taken, and not much reaction is exhibited. This is considered as Natural Affection. However if the pain is associated with a heart attack, then the sensory reaction may be quite animated and extreme. This is defined as Emotion. People can identify with what is of Consequence to others or to animals and such, and thus exhibit Emotion when the consequence does not directly relate to them.

      SENSORY RESPONSE SYSTEM

The theory presented here is that differences of what and how, the individual defines Consequential Value, can determine the sensory and emotional make-up of the individual called the Sensory Response System. Associative attributes derive from sensory opposites and degrees in between, such as hot, warm and cold. These sensory distinctions dictate to the individual sensory values about a subject and how it may be treated.

The ordinary state of sensory experience is Natural Affection, as the correspondence between the sensory apparatus and the environment, or various elements of itself. When these states are in correspondence and harmony like a pleasant air temperature, good health or satisfied appetites, the sensory experience is pleasant and satisfactory.
