This may be the experiences of many Garter and Gopher snakes. The snake may have no particular consequence for the individual other than possibly a sensory appreciation, and thus the emotional response is restrained. By Disconjunctive Association the sighting of a snake, may provoke associations as anything from the assumption that it is poisonous and will bite one, wherein visions may occur of cutting an X upon the wound and various scenarios of slow and traumatic death, to evil visions of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, and that all snakes are evil. In this case the snake has strong consequences attached to it and thus the emotional response can be quite animated.
What is of Consequential Value influences the emotional make-up of the individual, in which two fundamental perspectives pertaining to what is of consequence and why, are said to be manifest as the
Equipolent Emotional and the
Conceptual Emotional Dynamics. The Equipolent Emotional Dynamic is said to characterize the propensities for sensory response of the
Conservative Spiritual Ethical Identity and the Conceptual Emotional Dynamic, the response propensities of the
Progressive Material Volitional Identity.
OPPOSITION
The primary difference between the Equipolent and Conceptual Emotional Dynamics is the determination of what is of Consequence and what is not. The Conservative Spiritual Ethical Identity defines the Given Existence as possessing an inherent and legitimate consequence in and of itself. This is because the natural world and universe is considered to be a Spiritual State. Consequential Value termed
Unified Consequence pertains to all aspects of the Given Existence as a whole. The Progressive Material Volitional Identity defines the Given Existence as absent any inherent consequence.
