There was immediately an intersection and I ran half across it before I got it throttled down and could jump back on the bike. But as I made the leaping transition, it caused my hand to twist on the accelerator and the bike reared up again throwing me off once more. Still I refused to let it go and went chasing it another quarter block before I finally got it down and stopped.

Another problem I would have is when I parked anywhere like in front of a coffee shop or market, I would use a lock to lock the spokes to the front forks. I was so into role playing the motorcycle hotshot, I would forget to remove the lock and start to pull out with the front wheel locked and sliding stationary. Did that I don't know how many times. Much like Barney Fife for those familiar with the Andy Griffin Show of the fifties come to think of it.

On a weekend Sunday we were riding to visit some river rapids somewhere and there was a long downhill stretch of roadway and traffic was slow, four cars ahead of me when a bad-guy motorcycle gang pulled up behind me. I would liked to have passed but didn't want to take the chance when the leader of the pack took off. He had four cars to pass before a thirty mile and hour sharp reverse L curve with a woman riding behind. He had to get up to about eighty to pass and then brake down to thirty to make the turn which he did but none of his buds followed. The hero of the day.
