A woman got on the bus and didn't pay, sat down and refused to say a word. The bus driver refused to move and it was a stand-off. We sat there for five minutes. Of say fifteen-people no-one would deal with it; until a woman-seemingly took-charge with a man's voice. She was a man. He threw that woman off the bus and he in drag.

On another-note but pertinent in a sense; some years later while I was at sculpture-class, working with marble over at Fort Mason, a woman came through, who seemed to know some of the people in the class. Eventually she came over to where I was working and chatted me-up. So I gave her a wrap; probably about my ideas as a sculptor. Apparently she was on the-make, because she said, "You are too complicated for me. You need a prostitute, a professional". Bummer - but may have explained a lot.

Ford's sister didn't work out. I went to her apartment on Russian Hill on a whim and she opened the door, said she couldn't talk, and closed it in my-face, with a severe troubled-look. I was sensitive and never forgave her. I was insensitive un-realizing that other people have lives. But I saw a dark-side, which was what ? She was Scorpio. I thought I should steer clear. She said I lived in a barn. I could see that. She certainly was not going to move into a barn. Here I was all the way across town by bus and cable car, and she shuts the door in my face. She was classic, good-looking with shoulder length dark hair and smoking dark eyes, medium-height, great figure just ever so-much extra. She was a sophisticate and as such way beyond me.
