Obviously it would depend on my degree of belief in the circumstance. I did not believe in the army, so I did not take it seriously, but rather used it as a study. So I knew that I would not do what others would. At the same time I knew that all these people did what they did. So there must be something there that made them do it.

I had consequence and so must interpret my reality and the world accordingly. I had no proof that I had consequence. But the concept was so great that I had to figure a way to construct the proof. The epiphany was, I am great so therefore everything in which I am involved is great. Thus the context of my everyday world would become the context of greatness. I am the character great, may have been the creation of my first character. This character led to the creation of any number of other identities, which would act as contexts for the interpretation of reality. Reality itself could have no definitive definition but should become symbolic. A house was not the Victorian Jones home but was every house. Any one thing was symbolic of every all things of a class, characters acting in universal context. I would be many singular characters in universal context.

I was continually involved in problems of all sorts, questions of every kind, art, history, carpentry, politics, religion, theater and on; so the idea was to make these problems real as character actualization in reality. For any event or circumstance, I ran it through the problem mill for relationships, then adopted the particular character in that instance to interpret from that particular perspective. Without these pre-existing contexts most of what happened in reality would have no meaning, except the ordinary and mundane.
