Authoritarian dictatorships where the interests of the whole outweigh the individual can be called benevolent dictatorship.

When Necessity and Subsistence is the primary economic wherewithal and or ethical consideration, and wherein the models of expectation tend to conform to what already exists as nature, the authority for human activity and behavior is the natural world, and the propensity to authoritarianism is less because there is less need for greater numbers of human laborers to produce Excess and Profit, and an authoritarian hierarchy of efficiency that best produces excess. Authoritarianism is more limited to localized and individual inclinations as opposed to inherent aspects of economic and political systems.

Authoritarianism is defined here as the propensity of the individual to demand that the self and others follow and obey dictates, precepts, standards, rules, models, laws and orders. Authoritarianism means that the individual is subject to authority greater than themselves, as an absence of will, to dictates of which they are expected to conform and correspond. This authority can be anything from God to one's boss, the police or political power, to one's parents, teachers, the law. The most fundamental means of the promotion of authoritarianism is by the actual use or threat of force, punishment by physical restraint, fine, forfeiture, loss of property, jail, death or threats against persons valuable to the individual.
