Identities can be envisaged by their relationships to the Ego, Thinking-I and Transcendent Identity. There is one Ego, one Thinking-I and one Transcendent Identity, although this latter can take any number of forms from preacher to witch doctor. These are viewed as vertical, meaning Ego on top, Thinking-I in middle, and Metaphysical-I on bottom. The Ego is closest to the Aware-I and Positive Dimension. The Transcendent Identity is closest to the Metaphysical I and Metaphysical Dimension.

The actual present-time real world is interpreted in different ways at different times by every individual. When driving, assuming one has a driving Identity, a music listening Identity, a Primary Identity and of course the Ego, one may switch between these. As one may concentrate through the Ego and driving Identity, one may fail to even hear the music. In another moment at a stop light, one may be concentrating more on music. In another instant one may be thinking more about their job than either on driving or music. The point being here, that the Thinking-I is said to switch between these varying Interpretive Contexts from instant to instant.

Associative Identities would be Interpretive Contexts as association which is strictly mental activity, that one uses when associating, day dreaming, thinking and imagining.

If the Thinking-I is considered the focus and controller of this process, a first distinction might be made between what is called Action and Associative Identities. Action Identities would be those contexts that are used while the individual is engaged in reality such eating, walking or working. These Identities would be active when real action is taking place, between the Aware-I and Thinking-I. For instance a walking Identity is the body movement and behavior when one engages in the act of walking.
