On the other hand the concept of the Associative Identity is Progressive, by the dynamic of its construct. Associative Identities are constructed from the imagination, meaning anything is possible and
are not constricted by finite reality. One can create the Identity of
circus performer, even though the reality is impossible. Associative Identities are Interpretive Contexts that are conceptual only, and in most cases are never applied to real world affairs. These Identities are used for such things as fantasy, role playing, sexual outlet, hope and faith or optimism. However Associative Identities are also constructed as a prelude and mockup for future Active Identities. The child fantasizes being a baseball star, and grows up and becomes one.
Though by construct Associative Identities are Progressive, they can represent and take the form of Conservative personifications as well.
Another aspect of the Theory of Metaphysical Psychology is what is called the Parked Identity. This means that an identity is parked as a Primary Identity. The individual interprets through this Identity most of the time, except when using specialized Secondary Identities like hobby, driving, or a layman's religious Identity. Secondary Identities may be placed either in front of or behind Parked Identities, depending perhaps on the degree to which the Primary Identity is dominant or relied on.
A Parked Identity may be either an Active or Associational Identity.
A Parked Associational Identity is exampled by a child's invisible friend or an alter-ego. Parked Identities are the norm for most people, who tend to think and define themselves from a particular perspective only, as a physician might. A Parked Associational Identity might be such as an artist's creative images and ideas of free association that would revolve around artistic pursuits and ramifications.
